Deception Pass and The Salish Sea Adventure
Join us for our trip to the iconic paddling of the Pacific Northwest – Deception Pass and The Salish Sea. We will take day trips to Deception Pass, Canoe Pass, Rosario Strait and exploration of its many islands. New for 2019 will be 2 days of paddling on the outer coast with guest coach Bill Vonnegut. In addition to the spectacular paddling conditions and abundant sea life we might also see orcas, seals and sea lions. If we’re lucky we may even see minke and humpback whales.
There will be options to paddle classic tide races, go rock gardening and take a few longer exploratory journeys using the massive tidal flows in the Strait to assist us. The trip is planned to take advantage of the larger spring tides. We will be based out of a house in Anacortes, WA giving us easy access to wide a range of paddling with very little driving.
Deception Pass and The Salish Sea trip includes 7 days of coaching, lodging in a house, breakfasts and lunches plus 4 dinners. We’ll eat out at local restaurants a few times; those meals are not included. For those flying, there is a shuttle that runs from the airport to Anacortes, We can pick you up from the Anacortes stop.
