The BC FSRT or Foundation Safety & Rescue Training course is the class most likely to help you save someone’s life.

The FSRT course is all about real world, safe, effective, & efficient rescues for all types of paddlecraft.  During the course we’ll be performing self and assisted rescues of canoes, recreational kayaks, whitewater kayaks, sea kayaks and stand up paddleboards. Other topics include throw bag use, rescue protocols, towing, and we’ll tie it all together with scenarios. Participants can use any type of paddle craft they want but we will be swapping boats throughout the day.  We will be in the water fairly often on the FSRT course, so dress appropriately. FSRT is one of the prerequisites to entering the BCU coaching system at Level 1 Coach
